Small tools beat big frameworks
Simple parts, connected loosely, tend to outlast clever ones. It is not exciting, but it works.
Most of my notes live in plain text files. They open instantly, sync anywhere, and will still be readable in twenty years. That is a hard combination to beat.
The best setup is the one you do not have to think about. This one mostly gets out of the way.
There is no lock-in and no loading spinner. A folder of files can be searched with tools that already exist on every machine.
